Safety Partnering History Drug Free Government Links

Partnering refers to the cooperative relationship between The Oregon Pacific-Cascade Chapter, NECA and  IBEW Local Unions 280, 659 and 932. Both the Chapter and the Local Unions work through three separate Joint Labor Management Cooperation Committees. These LMCCs are represented by equal numbers of labor and management who give their time and energy to address common interests and goals through a cooperative process that ensures that issues, concerns or problems are dealt with in a manner that serves both the membership of the IBEW and the contractors that employ them.

The committees meet on a monthly basis to promote an environment that emphasizes open and candid communication. There is a true sense of comradery when people feel that they have an opportunity to be an active part of a solution developed by both labor and management in an ever-changing market such as the electrical contracting industry.

Working as a team creates a win-win dynamic for everyone, and ensures that the members and contractors continue to provide the customer with the best in reliable, high-quality, and cost-effective electrical work.

Through our partnering efforts, the Oregon Pacific-Cascade Chapter, NECA and IBEW Local Unions 280, 659, and 932 have accomplished many worthwhile goals through this partnership, and will continue to work together to address issues that adversely affect our industry in a pro-active way rather than a reactive manner.
